Children with learning disabilities in Africa have far less opportunities for development and independence. One beacon of hope is Hart House, a residential facility in Synch Alhagie, not far from the HF Masroor Secondary School in The Gambia.
The facility supports upto 27 children with residential care, education and fitness. It uses techniques from the UK to monitor and improve the abilities of the children in speech and language, motor skills and other faculties.
Humanity First has been supporting Hart House since 2016 through sponsorship of children, donated clothing and education resources, and free health checks.
